The quintessential arborvitae, 'Emerald Green' is a semi-dwarf cultivar selected for its bright green, scale-like foliage and pyramidal shape. Small, urn-shaped cones form in red/brown hues and can be quite ornamental. Arborvitae can be tolerant of most soils, however it is at home in moist, well-draining soils and does not like being dry. Does best in a wind-protected site. Perfect for creating "green" screens and borders.
