'Green Giant' is a hybrid between two arborvitae species and was selected for its disease resistance, resistance to wind damage, and fast growth rate. The medium green scaly foliage combines to give the tree a dense pyramidal look and finds success as a specimen plant or as a natural screen/windbreak. Arborvitae can be tolerant of most soils and growing conditions, however it is at home in moist, well-draining soils and does not like being too dry.
