Hardy pampas grass is the largest grass we carry and can reach over 10 feet tall in a single season. It makes the perfect screen as it quickly hides unwanted views and works great as a back-of-the-border planting. Aside from height, hardy pampas grass has great texture and the rustling sound of the leaf blades in light breezes seems melodic. Flower spikes will start appearing in late summer into early fall and bloom a purplish color before fading to silver. In autumn, leaf blades turn beige and provide good winter interest. It thrives in dry, well-drained soils in full sun and has no insect/disease issues.
Formerly known as Erianthus ravennae.
