Large-leafed hydrangeas are very popular landscape specimens mostly in part due to their large, colorful flowers and length of bloom. Fuchsia Glow™ is a new hydrangea on the market and does fantastic in areas with ample rainfall and consistent temperatures. They are characterized by their large, rounded flower heads in cherry pink that appear in midsummer and continue, often with a repeat blooming period, into fall. Large, elliptical dark green toothed leaves cover the plant for the majority of the growing season before turning yellow/purple in fall, although fall color is often insignificant. Large-leafed hydrangeas do best in rich, moist, well-drained soils in part shade and benefit from a layer of mulch and sited in a protected area. Fuchsia Glow™ was selected for its prolific repeat bloom period and compact habit.
