Creeping phlox is a staple in most gardens because of their early, bright spring color. Around March or April, 'Amazing Grace' shines with masses of white, star-like blossoms with pink centers against tufts of semi-evergreen, needle-like foliage. They make great border plants along paths, rocks, ledges, and other places where small plants are desired. Creeping phlox does best in full sun in average, well-drained soils. For a secondary bloom period and cleaner looking mounds, phlox can be cut back by half after flowering.
