It is a very slow growing tree, but when it takes off, 'Princeton Sentry' grows into an upright, pyramidal shade, street, or park tree that has very uniform ascending branching. Ginkgos are also very hardy (considered a living fossil because they have been around for millions of years), tolerating drought, salt, clay soils, air pollution, and other harsh growing conditions. They prefer full sun and are relatively deer resistant.
