Showy stonecrop is the perfect carefree perennial for adding color to the late summer landscape. 'Vera Jameson' has flat tufts of dusty pink flowers that shadow the sprawling, purple succulent-like leaves beneath, starting in late summer and continuing until autumn. The flower heads attract butterflies and other beneficial pollinators as well. Showy stonecrop does best in full sun in average, well-drained soils but will tolerate drought, rocky soils, and dry conditions. It is also relatively insect and disease resistant. Formerly known as Sedum.
