Bearded Iris are a long-time spring garden favorite and adored for their splashes of color. The velvety, slightly fragrant flowers of 'Peggy Sue' are a blush, tonal peach-pink and this cultivar is considered a rebloomer. Flowers start blooming mid-spring after the emergence of the blue-green sword-like leaves and plants in general are often overlooked by deer. Bearded iris do best in well-drained soils in full sun and are known to be drought tolerant once established.
