Bearded Iris are a long-time spring garden favorite and adored for their splashes of color. Flowers start blooming mid-spring after the emergence of the blue-green sword-like leaves and plants in general are often overlooked by deer. 'Savannah Sunset' has intense, saturated orange blooms on a tall, vigorous plant habit. Well branched flower stems produce abundant buds for a long display. Bearded iris do best in well-drained soils in full sun and are known to be drought tolerant once established.
