Norway maples are characterized by their glossy planetree-like leaves and prized for their adaptability to urban conditions. Emerald Lustre® has clusters of yellow-green flowers in early spring that are quite ornamental and develop into samaras by summer. Glossy, medium-green leaves cover the rounded tree through the growing season before turning golden yellow in autumn. Norway maples are very tolerant of drought, heat, humidity, site conditions, and pollution, making them the perfect shade tree for parks and other urban areas. Moderate growing maple with shallow root systems. Emerald Lustre® is also known for its dense branching which adds to its architecture.
