Golden rain tree is known for its exceptional value as an ornamental for the landscape. They are adorned in panicles of yellow flowers in early summer and eventually fade to pinkish-brown seed pods that give the tree a unique appearance. The compound leaves emerge with a pinkish tint in the spring before changing to a medium green for the majority of the growing season, followed by a yellowish autumnal color. Golden rain tree is relatively disease and insect resistant. They thrive in most growing conditions (including tolerances to drought, air pollution, and clay) provided they are sited in full sun and well-drained soils.
