Korean feather grass is characterized by its narrow medium green leaves and spreads to form clumps. Plumes appear toward the end of summer, rising above the foliage in masses of pink. Foliage will turn a yellow/beige color as the temperatures cool in the fall and plumes turn a silvery-white. Korean feather grass also tolerates heavy clay, is quite low maintenance, and prefers soils that are more moist. 'Caspian' was selected for its sturdiness and ability to tolerate high heat and salts.
