'Prairifire' crabapple is an upright, rounded tree that, in the spring, is covered in deep cherry pink flowers that give way to fruits that mature to purple-red in autumn (fruits will persist through the winter). Foliage is a beautiful purplish red-green and changes to an orangey-copper color in autumn. Bark is also attractive/ornamental in this cultivar. Overall, crabapples prefer well-drained, average soils in full sun and can be more tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions in maturity. Attracts wildlife.

Disease resistance: Cedar apple rust, fireblight, mildew & scab = excellent
