Mukdenia is prized for its red-tinged summer foliage. Spring brings about towering stalks of white, bell-shaped blooms and although the palmate leaves are mostly green, they will obtain red coloring by summer and extend through the fall. Mukdenia does best in moist, well-drained soils in part shade. No major insect or disease issues. Works great as a ground cover or in a woodland garden.
