Carefree, endless blooming, durable, and sweetly fragrant are some words to describe the popular shrub roses in the Knock Out® series. These roses bloom for months on end, starting in late spring and continuing, uninterrupted until frost. Petals are arranged in a single layer and are a deep cherry-red and flowers are lightly aromatic. Dark glossy green foliage (some cultivars are tinged with purple) stays fresh and free of black spot and other foliar diseases. Foliage may also turn shades of burgundy in autumn along with orange-red rose hips (berries). Minimal pruning needed. Knock Out® roses do best in moist, well-drained loamy soils in full sun to part shade.
