Royal Raindrops® crabapple is a rounded tree that, in the spring, is covered in magenta pink flowers that give way to fruits that mature to dark red in autumn and persist well into the winter. Foliage is uniquely cut and is a purplish color throughout the growing season before changing to orange-red in the fall. Overall, crabapples prefer well-drained, average soils in full sun and can be more tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions in maturity. Attracts wildlife.
