False cypress are wonderful evergreen conifers that add color and fine texture to a landscape. Newly emerged growth of 'King's Gold' is tipped in yellow and retains its color for the majority of the year. Branches tend to spread outward while the overall habit is globose, rounded, or mounding. False cypress are at home in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade (best coloring occurs in full sun whereas best growth occurs in part shade).
