Joe Pye weed is a common prairie plant that is often found in moist, wet sites. Beloved by pollinators alike, the florets sit atop somewhat flat compound inflorescences and are a light or deep shade of mauve. Although most Joe pye weed flowers have an aroma of vanilla, Euphoria™ Ruby does not. It was instead selected for its compact habit and sturdy stems. Plants do best in moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade, however they can tolerate other conditions provided moisture is steady. This is attainable with a thick layer of mulch.
