Lavender is a highly fragrant herb that is used in a wide array of disciplines but is mostly recognized in cleaning products, perfumes, and culinary dishes. As a native of the Mediterranean, it prefers rocky dry soils in areas with low fertility. Its narrow silvery-green leaves form a tight mound of scented foliage throughout the growing season and by summer, is covered in wands of plump, purple flowers that are excellent cut or dried. Phenomenal® was selected for its larger habit, improved winter hardiness, and is less suceptible to winter root and crown rots. Plants are also insect, rabbit, and deer resistant.
