Bearded Iris are a long-time spring garden favorite and adored for their splashes of color. The velvety flowers of 'Edith Wolford' have canary yellow standards and intense blue-violet falls that provide great contrast amongst other spring perennials. Flowers start blooming mid-spring after the emergence of the blue-green sword-like leaves and plants in general are often overlooked by deer. Bearded iris do best in well-drained soils in full sun and are known to be drought tolerant once established. This cultivar is also a vigorous grower.
