False spirea is a very airy and feathery plant that makes a statement when massed together. 'Sem' sends out new, fern-like foliage in shades of coppery pink before fading to a chartreuse color. Panicles of creamy-white, cotton candy like plumes appear in summer and draw in pollinators. They prefer rich, well-drained soils in full sun but are known to tolerate drought and clay. Care should be taken when planting as false spirea can spread via roots. No major insect or disease issues.
